Boombl4 says BETBOOM’s confidence is rising with every event

Boombl4 says BETBOOM’s confidence is rising with every event

BETBOOM’s upward run has continued at PGL Masters Bucharest, where the team backed up a second-place finish at Thunderpick World Championship with a win over Spirit and then moved to 2-0 after beating Nemiga. For Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov, the results are a sign that the team is building something more than a short hot streak.

Speaking after the victory over Nemiga, Boombl4 said the win over Spirit was especially meaningful, while also stressing that BETBOOM are not trying to force expectations onto themselves. In his view, the focus should stay on steady improvement, with tournament results following naturally if the team keeps moving in the right direction.

A run built on confidence

Boombl4 described the win over Spirit as a major moment for his team. He pointed out that many of the players know each other well because they come from the same region, which made the result feel different from a normal upset.

He also linked BETBOOM’s recent form to the second-place finish at Thunderpick. According to him, that run helped the team break through some of the mental pressure they had been feeling before. Since then, he believes they have been playing with less stress and more freedom.

That change matters to Boombl4 because, as he sees it, confidence is now showing up not just in the team’s structure, but in each player individually.

Why individual form matters

One of Boombl4’s main points was that BETBOOM’s rise is not only about teamwork. He said every player is more confident right now, and that this is helping the team close out matches that might have slipped away earlier.

He explained that strong individual belief becomes especially important in big matches and playoff environments, where a team often needs players to win rounds on their own. In his words, without that personal confidence, winning tournaments becomes much harder.

Boombl4 framed this as part of a broader process of experience rather than a sudden transformation. The improvement, he suggested, is happening naturally through games, results and repeated pressure moments.

No pressure, just progress

Despite the positive momentum, Boombl4 said BETBOOM are not chasing results by setting rigid targets too early. He suggested that thinking too much about trophies can be a distraction if the team is still focused on getting better day by day.

For him, the real priority is performance quality. If the team continues to progress, he believes the trophies will come later. That mindset also applies to the packed schedule, which he described as physically and mentally demanding because of the travel and the constant time spent together.

Still, he made it clear that BETBOOM accept that workload as part of the job, especially when they are competing at this level.

Major ambitions, but not for every event

Looking ahead, Boombl4 said the team’s approach is not identical for every tournament. He suggested that the Major is the event where players naturally think about a deep run, playoffs and the emotional weight that comes with it.

For events like PGL Masters Bucharest and Thunderpick, however, he said the main goal is to keep learning and keep improving rather than to set hard placement goals in advance. That approach reflects the way BETBOOM are handling their current rise: taking each event seriously, but without losing sight of the bigger development picture.

If their recent form holds, Boombl4 believes the team can eventually turn this momentum into wins at major events. For now, BETBOOM’s next step is simpler: keep playing, keep improving and keep turning growing confidence into results.
